WHAT: Soundtrax Music Services Inc. is an independent music supervision / audio production company. SMS specializes in researching and licensing music for film, television, video games and all multimedia. The first production “Sudden Exposure” featuring thirteen bands and was released for home video and television in 1992.


WHO: Soundtrax Music Services Inc was founded in 1991 and is owned by Andrew Mitchell aka Androo. Androo has had many roles in the music industry as a musician who has performed, lighting director and toured over 150 shows with The Pink Flamingos, managed, promoted and set up a recording engineer school (Thunderbird Recording) with Scott Jarrett of Full Sail. In the last 15 years we have licensed 1000’s of songs in hundreds of Film / TV / Video Games and multimedia productions. More recently, Androo has Music Supervised a Disney Imax film “Sacred Planet”, 29 episodes on Fuel TV, CD compilation for Norwegian Cruise lines, Penguin Books and finished two video games for Empire Interactive and Take-Two Licensing.


Androo has also been involved with producing multimedia, co-founded the Skifreak Magazine, assistant director of five music videos, and was the associate producer for “No Mans Land” and a film coming out Winter of 2006 entitled “Let It Ride”. Androo took on a “Directors” job, and also produced two karoke music videos featuring songs from Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez. Spare time included Co-directing corporate videos, scripting for “Tao of Riding” and general ‘creative’ film ideas.


Tracy joined the Soundtrax team in 2004, helping along the way with multi tasking the web and flow of the office. She has also contributed greatly to listening and selecting music for the ongoing selection of music. Tracy has been instrumental at putting the Shambhala Music Festival together and recently took on a new role with Sony / BMG.


Naasko has recently joined Soundtrax, now at his desk since January 06. Naasko has years of music experience with A&R, working with Record labels (Interchill and co-founding Native State Records). He also has an amazing DJ career and is instrumental at putting together a stage at the annual BOOM Festival.


WHERE: SMS caters to the growing film and multimedia industry from their HQ in Nelson, British Columbia. The productions that SMS works on are distributed for regional and worldwide.
